The authorities had reportedly received a complaint regarding Rs 49.60-lakh cyber fraud wherein the fraudster sent a WhatsApp message to the accountant of a company by using display picture of its owner, a Mohali-based realtor. The employee assumed the message to be from the company’s owner and transferred the money into the bank account given by the fraudster.
