The Fazilka police organised a seminar on Sunday under the newly launched ‘Project Sampark’ for the members of the Village Defence Committees.

Fazilka Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Varinder Singh Brar said the project was not just about combating drugs but fighting against organised and street crimes and anti-social individuals.

He said drugs often infiltrated from across the border and that every possible effort was being made by the Border Security Force (BSF), Army and police to curb this menace.
