Ahead of the 76th Republic Day celebrations, Kapurthala Police have ramped up security measures across the district under the leadership of DIG Harmanbir Singh Gill IPS. Acting on instructions from Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav IPS, DIG Gill conducted a review of the district’s security arrangements today to ensure smooth and safe national festival celebrations.

SSP Kapurthala, Gaurav Toora IPS, highlighted the district police’s increased use of technology to enhance security. Surveillance has been strengthened with the installation of Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras and additional static CCTV cameras aimed at monitoring anti-social activities and ensuring preventive policing.

He also appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or items to the 112 helpline. He reassured residents of the police force’s commitment to their safety and wished the community a joyful Republic Day.
