He said during the SAD-BJP tenure in 2009, there were only 1,000 drug addicts in the state and their number rose to 20 lakh by 2015.

Mann said former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had told Sukhbir Singh Badal, then Deputy CM, to control his brother-in-law, else he would finish him politically. He said Sukhbir was now urging the people to give him a chance as the SAD had been divided into factions.

Mann said Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa had been using “indecent words” against them and his partymen, Charanjit Singh Channi and Sukhpal Singh Khaira, had come out in support of a senior leader jailed recently.
