The village residents said that over 50 cases have been registered under the NDPS Act in this village alone over the past five years.

A large number of police personnel, including Muktsar SSP Akhil Chaudhary and ADC (D) Surinder Singh Dhillon, were present at the spot.

The SSP said, “Multiple FIRs under the NDPS Act were registered against these three hardened drug traffickers. They had built these structures using drug money. The Block Development and Panchayats Officer (BDPO) had sought police assistance to demolish the properties of these drug peddlers.”
