The Sanyukt Samaj Morcha candidate contesting from the Jalalabad constituency today moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking the transfer of the Fazilka SSP. Directions were also sought for ensuring safety of the petitioner and his agents during the time of elections.

Taking up the petition filed against the Chief Electoral Officer, the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner and other respondents by polling agent Hansraj Golden, the Bench of Justice Ritu Bahri and Justice Ashok Kumar Verma issued notice of motion. —
