Punjab announced on Saturday all schools in the state will close for the summer from May 24 to June 23.

This applies to all private, government and semi-government schools, School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said.

Educational institutions are already closed for students this past month because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The new order applies to teachers and other school staff as well as students.
