Punjab CM’s OSD files defamation case against Majithia

Secretary-cum-Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Rajbir Singh of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has filed a defamation case against Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia in Chandigarh Court for allegedly issuing defamatory, false, and unauthenticated statements against him on social media accounts related with him.

The court has adjourned the hearing of the case for preliminary evidence for January 18, 2025.

The police have filed a complaint under Sections 356, 3(5) of Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita.

Rajbir said that Majithia levelled false allegations against him for transferring large sums of money through hawala transactions in foreign countries.

He added that there is no truth in the wild allegations levelled by Majithia against him.

The videos and posts on social media related with the allegations have caused harm to his reputation, Rajbir said.
