The Punjab Government today promoted three police officers to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP). With these promotions, the Punjab Police have 21 ADGPs posted in the state, besides 15 Special DGPs and one DGP (Head of state police) Gaurav Yadav.

Those officers who have been promoted are Nilabh Kishore, Shive Kumar Verma and Jaskaran Singh.

Kishore is investigating the alleged nexus of dismissed police officers Raj Jit Singh and Inderjit Singh with other cops and drug smugglers. Jaskaran Singh is the chairman of the five-member SIT probing the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.
