In response to a request from the authorities, the visit of Governor Banwarilal Purohit to the border districts scheduled from February 20-23 has been postponed. The visit is now slated to take place from March 12 to March 14.

An official press notee from Punjab Raj Bhawan said the Governor was committed to engaging with the communities in the border districts and looked forward to interacting with residents and officials during his coming visit.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
