State president of BKU (Ugrahan), Joginder Singh Ugrahan, while addressing a large number of farmers outside district administrative complex (DC office) here today, accused the AAP-led state government of not implementing pro-farmer and pro-labourer agriculture policies. Ugrahan was here today in connection with a pucca morcha being held by his organisation.

The union’s state vice president Janak Singh Bhutal said they had submitted a draft of new agriculture policy to the state government in July 2023, but the government gave the contract to frame policy to a foreign company. He said they had proposed land for all farmers, proper irrigation facilities, waiving of loans of farmers and labourers, guaranteed MSP for all crops and crop insurance by a government sector insurance company.
