Punjab Govt set to recruit 1,000 doctors in biggest hiring drive in decades
In a major boost to the state’s healthcare infrastructure, the Punjab Government has announced a massive recruitment drive to fill 1,000 vacancies for medical officers (MBBS doctors).
This recruitment drive is said to be the largest in decades, which would address long-pending shortages in government hospitals and health centres across the state.
The interested candidates can apply through the website of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, from April 25 to May 15.
The details regarding eligibility, selection criteria and application procedures are expected to be available on the BFUHS website.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) has welcomed the state government’s decision.
