Sinha has asked the DCs to ensure adequate number of rehabilitation and drug de-addiction centres equipped with necessary equipment and medicines, including Buprenorephine, test kits, required staff etc.

He has directed that preparations be done on a war footing and every DC should be ready with a foolproof plan in the coming days. He said respective DCs would be personally responsible for ensuring that, and any laxity in that regard would invite strict disciplinary action. He said the Chief Secretary would monitor the entire exercise personally.
