The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered a major reshuffle in the Punjab judicial cadre, designating six Additional District and Sessions Judges as District and Sessions Judges. In all, the high court has ordered transfer and posting of 13 judicial officers. The administrative order was issued at Chandigarh on October 20.

Jatinder Kaur-II, District and Sessions Judge and Presiding Officer, State Transport Appellate Tribunal and Food Safety Appellate Tribunal, Punjab, Chandigarh, has been recalled from deputation and posted as District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar, against a vacant post.

Bal Bahadur Singh Teji, District and Sessions Judge, Barnala, has been posted as District and Sessions Judge-cum-Legal Remembrancer and Principal Secretary to the Government of Punjab at Chandigarh, against a vacant post.

Avtar Singh, District and Sessions Judge, Fazilka, has been transferred and posted as District and Sessions Judge, Patiala.

Among those designated as District and Sessions Judges are Neelam Arora, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ferozepur, who has been posted as District and Sessions Judge, Moga; Anshul Berry, Additional District and Sessions Judge and Principal Judge, Family Court, Bathinda, who has been designated as District and Sessions Judge, Barnala; and Manjot Kaur, Additional District and Sessions Judge and Special Judge, CBI Court, Mohali, who has been posted as District and Sessions Judge, Ropar.

Rajnish Garg, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chandigarh, has been designated as District and Sessions Judge and posted as Presiding Officer, State Transport Appellate Tribunal-cum-Food Safety Appellate Tribunal, Punjab, Chandigarh, on deputation.

Among other transfers, Sanjiv Joshi, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kapurthala, has been designated as District and Sessions Judge, Faridkot; Dinesh Kumar Wadhwa, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Faridkot, has been posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge and Special Judge, CBI Court, Mohali; and Arun Kumar Aggarwal, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Jalandhar, has been posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge and Member Secretary, State Legal Services Authority, UT Chandigarh, on deputation.

The order further places Palwinder Jit Kaur, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur, as Additional District and Sessions Judge and Principal Judge, Family Court, Fazilka, and Deepika Singh, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bathinda, as Additional District and Sessions Judge and Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Bathinda.
