The Punjab Police Headquarters in sector 9, Chandigarh were sealed for three days for fumigation on Friday amid the coronavirus pandemic.

DGP Dinkar Gupta said the move was for routine fumigation and disinfection and purely a preventive and precautionary measure.

Five policemen had tested positive for the contagion last week. The DGP clarified that headquarter was not sealed but restricted entry was enforced.
