Punjabi lyricist among 9 booked

Nine persons have been booked for embezzling about Rs 20 lakh on the pretext of sending some residents from Sriganganagar district to Canada.
Among the suspects are Punjabi lyricist and singer Gurpal Singh, alias Sangdil-47, of Chak 47F village in Srikaranpur, his wife Navjinder Kaur, father Tehal Singh Sandhu, Sukhjinder Singh of Thandewala, Pradeep Singh of Chak 53 GG village, Ikram of Rasoolpur Gujran in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, Pavittar Singh, Sumandeep Singh and Sakkatar Singh.
