A Chandigarh court has restrained SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia from issuing any defamatory, false, unverified or unauthenticated statements on social media accounts related with Rajbir Singh, Officer on Special Duty (OSD ) to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The Court has issued an interim injunction order on a suit filed by Rajbir Singh.

The plaintiff had also prayed that the defendants be directed to immediately remove from social media accounts the unverified and defamatory statement made by them as it caused immense damage to him and also the CMO office.

After hearing of the arguments, the court said a prima facie case was made out in the favour of the plaintiff for the grant of ad-interim relief. Accordingly, the court issued the order against the defendants. The court also issued notice to defendants for November 16.
