Moga, June 4

The Punjab Government has extended the registration date for the admission to Class XI in meritorious schools during the 2020-21 academic session, said a senior official of the Education Department.

The online registration will re-start for the admission to Class XI in meritorious schools located at Amritsar, Bathinda, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Patiala, Sangrur and Talwara (Hoshiarpur) from 9 am on June 5 and will close at 5 pm on June 15.

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has also made some changes in the eligibility criteria for the registration for the Class XI entrance examination. Before these changes, 70% marks were required in Class X for the general category and 65% marks for the reserved category. Now, students of the general category who have obtained Grade B and above in Class X from the PSEB are eligible. The condition for reserved category is Grade B.

Similarly, CBSE Class X pass students of the general category with Grade B1 and above and the reserved category students with grade B2 and above will be eligible to apply for the admission.
