Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Aruna Chaudhary announced this at a meeting of the State Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) council.

Chaudhary said periodical monitoring mechanism to check private playschools running across the state was a necessity to ensure proper health and mental development of tiny tots. No playschool or crèche would be allowed to function without registration, she said.

The Cabinet Minister said complying with the guidelines, data banks would be created at these institutions on a dedicated portal and uniformity would be ensured in curriculum, which would be decided by the council and implemented across the state. — TNS
