The BJP today said the SIT report into the Behbal Kalan incident be made public along with the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission report.

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said clarity was needed as to what the government had achieved in the past four years of investigation into controversial cases. “An attempt is being made to absolve some people and put others in the dock,” he said. He demanded strict punishment for those involved in the desecration of Guru Granth Sahib. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
