The Finance Department has approved the proposal of the Medical Education and Research Department to increase the retirement age of doctors and dental faculty, governed by the Punjab Dental Education (Group-A) Service Rules, from 62 to 65 years. The decision would extend the service period of 113 professionals.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
