Road damaged by rain in Islamabad gets recarpeted

The main road in Islamabad area of the city has finally been given a facelift with a premix by the civil wing of the Amritsar Municipal Corporation.

Municipal Commissioner Harpreet Singh said that the Islamabad road was in a dilapidated condition and the potholes were creating problems for the commuters. The recent spell of rain had further damaged the road.

The MC Commissioner said that many roads have been damaged because of the rains but they were being repaired on a daily basis, keeping in view the convenience of the residents. He assured that officials of the civil department are keeping an eye on the condition of all roads so that they could be repaired without any delay. However, the department is also doing its job of clearing the construction and demolition waste lying on the roads to keep the city clean.
