Royal families gather for spiritual awakening with Brahma Kumaris in Mount Abu

Descendants of former kings and maharajas from 40 royal families across the country gathered at the Brahma Kumaris headquarters on Abu Road, Rajasthan, to participate in Royal Families Spiritual Retreat. They were welcomed in a royal style, with each being offered a traditional Rajasthani pagri.

The two-day retreat, “Awakening the Inner Sovereign”, is a first-of-its-kind event. BK Mohini, chief administrator of Brahma Kumaris, emphasised that life is priceless and should be made successful through service and remembrance of God. BK Jayanti, additional chief administrator, highlighted India’s rich cultural heritage, stating that it is the “Devbhoomi” where gods and goddesses once ruled.

BK Karuna and BK Mrityunjaya, additional general secretaries, noted that Brahma Kumaris offers a unique opportunity to learn how to live a fear-free life. Jai Kumar Rawal, Maharashtra cabinet minister and descendant of Dondaicha Royal Family, expressed that his family and Brahma Kumaris share a common goal of promoting social and human welfare.

Maharaja Vishwaraj Singh Bahadur of Udaipur stressed the importance of connecting with spirituality in today’s world. He also expressed concern about the rapid adoption of Western civilisation in recent decades. Maharaja Tribhunaneshwar Sharan Singh Dev of Surguja-Ambikapur emphasised the need for proper guidance for the younger generation.

Nawab Syed Mohammad Kazim Ali Khan Bahadur of Rampur and Nizam Nawab Raunak Yar Khan of the Asaf Jahi dynasty praised Brahma Kumaris for their work in promoting social change. Several royal family members, including Maharani Mayurakshi Singh, Maharao Raja Vanshvardhan Singh of Bundi, and Maharani Meenakshi Devi of Kishangarh, shared their experiences and appreciation for the spiritual significance of Mount Abu.

Maharaja Devvrat Singh Bahadur of Sirohi highlighted the importance of Vashistha Ashram in Mount Abu, which holds a significant place in the history of the Mahabharata. The Dilwara temple, known for its intricate carvings, is a renowned landmark in Mount Abu. Crown Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil of Rajpipla expressed that he experienced wonderful peace through the Brahma Kumaris centre. OC
