In Khuian Sarwar village, 18 km from here, unidentified miscreants entered a farmer’s house and stole weapons and jewellery. On the complaint of Jaswinder Singh, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

The complainant said when he woke up at around 6 am, he found that a room was locked from inside. When he pushed open the door, he saw that the grill at the back of the room was broken. On checking, he found that jewellery, a revolver, two single-barrelled guns and cash worth Rs 50,000 were missing. The police have registered a case under Sections 331 (4) and 305 of the BNS.
