AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang today said the panchayat poll, scheduled for October 15, are cornerstone of democracy.
He outlined the measures taken by the AAP government to ensure fair participation and protection of the citizens’ rights. Kang said, “The panchayat elections are an important part of democracy at grassroots. We want every citizen to participate actively and freely.”

The AAP MP criticized previous governments for abusing their power and undermining the electoral process. “For over two decades, the panchayat poll in Punjab were marred by manipulation and violence. However, the AAP government is committed to transparency,” he added.
He called on the people to stand firm against violence and intimidation perpetrated by the opposition parties, including the Congress, SAD and BJP. “We urge the citizens to reject the politics of fear and violence,” he said.
