SAD leader Bibi Satwant Kaur Sandhu dies at 80

Senior Akali Dal leader Bibi Satwant Kaur Sandhu passed away at Fortis hospital in Mohali on Saturday. A two-time minister and a five-time MLA from Chamkaur Sahib, Kaur would have turned 81 on February 22.
Her former AIG (Personnel) son Harmohan Singh Sandhu, who left service to join Shiromani Akali Dal in February 2019 said that she was admitted at the hospital a fortnight ago after she was found suffering from COIVD 19. “She breathed her last at 10.40 pm yesterday,” he said. She was to be cremated on Saturday.
