He flagged the issue of increasing atrocities on Dalits and inaction on the part of the Punjab Government. He said the NCSC received numerous complaints regarding the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to educate Dalit children. Even though the Centre was releasing funds for the scheme, the state government was unable to clear the dues of affiliated institutes and colleges, as a result of which the dropout rate of the SC students has reached over 2 lakh students. The Governor assured to look into the matter.
