Chandigarh: The Punjab Health Department on Sunday launched a sanitisation drive via drones. Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said beginning with Jagatpura, Badmajra, Jujhar Nagar and Balongi in Mohali district, the drive would be undertaken in other parts of Punjab as well. The minister said sanitisation through drones would serve the twin purpose of keeping the virus at bay while also protecting people against dengue. TNS

Probe illicit liquor unit case: AAP

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded a high-level probe into the unearthing of a spurious liquor factory at Khanna’s Bahomajra village. In a statement, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Harpal Singh Cheema alleged that illicit liquor business of this scale was not possible without the patronage of police and politicians. He urged the Congress government to probe the matter in the interest of Punjab and expose the liquor mafia. TNS
