Baba Sukha Singh, head of the Kar Sewa sect, Sarhali, was honoured at a congregation held by the managing committee of Takht Sri Hari Mandir Sahib, Patna Sahib, (birth place of 10th Sikh Guru Sri Gobind Singh) on Sunday. Inderjit Singh, general secretary of the Takht, informed that the congregation was held at their Patna Sahib complex.

Inderjit Singh said Baba Sukha Singh had been honoured for service rendered in the floods when the banks of the Beas and Sutlej rivers developed breaches, damaging crops. Baba Sukha Singh along with the followers of the sect, not only plugged the breaches but also gave wheat seeds, fertilisers and insecticides to a large number of farmers. Jagjot Singh Sohi, president of the managing committee of Takht Patna Sahib, besides Singh Sahib Giani Dalip Singh, Giani Sukhdev Singh, Bachan Singh Saral and other dignitaries spoke on the occasion and appreciated the services of Baba Sukha Singh rendered for welfare.
