A sarpanch nominee was attacked by unidentified miscreants at Bagarian village in Amargarh subdivision here this afternoon.

Paramjit Singh, former sarpanch of the village, was assaulted by a group of armed miscreant when he, along with his supporters, was pasting his banners at the village bus stand. Passersby and the supporters shifted profusely bleeding Singh to a hospital in Nabha.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
