A state-level “oath-taking ceremony” of sarpanches, who were elected on October 15, will be held in the coming week.
The government is proposing to hold the ceremony at Sarabha, the native village of freedom fighter Kartar Singh Sarabha. CM Bhagwant Mann is likely to administer oath to 10,031 sarpanches there.
