Led by Indian Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu Chib and Punjab Youth Congress head Mohit Mohindra, the party leaders flagged the issue of drug menace and rising unemployment in the state.

Raising pitch for the protesting farmers, the PYC leaders were taken into preventive custody as they tried to march towards the residence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Chib flayed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for harassment of farmers at the Shambhu border by the Haryana Police.

He said the AAP government led by Mann had failed on all fronts and youngsters were the major sufferers.

Mohindra slammed AAP for its failure in curbing drug menace and providing 25 lakh jobs to the youth.

He said despite being in power for three years, the Mann government has failed to fulfil all promises made with the residents.
