A nine-year-old boy lost his life, while three other students of a private school, two teachers and the driver of a school van were injured after the vehicle hit a roadside tree near Mallan village in this district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Jaskamal Singh of Dhulkot village. His parents have demanded a probe.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
