A 52-year-old man from Phagwara, Bakhtawar Singh Bajwa, lost his life during a dispute at a gurdwara in Brussels, Belgium. Reports suggest the incident occurred on Wednesday night amidst ongoing tension related to the gurdwara management.

Bakhtawar Singh, a resident of Hadiabad, Phagwara, had been living in Belgium for several years, where he and his family operated a shop. He was also known to be a supporter of the gurdwara management committee.

According to sources, discussions were underway to resolve certain issues related to the gurdwara, but soon a scuffle ensued. Bakhtawar suffered severe injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. He, however, succumbed to his injuries.

Residents and acquaintances here have expressed grief over his death.
