Amid mounting economic woes, the state government has decided to seek a fiscal stimulus of Rs 51,102 crore from the Centre

A draft memorandum to this effect was approved on Wednesday by the Cabinet

In addition to direct fiscal stimulus of Rs. 21,500 crore, the state government plans to seek waiver of the long-term CCL debt

Additionally, all central schemes should be 100% funded by the Centre in FY 2020-21

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
