Speaking during the zero hour in the Lok Sabha, Warring raised the issue of deteriorating law and order in the state.

He said gangsters were threatening and intimidating people for ransom.

The Ludhiana MP said people were receiving threat calls from jails and foreign lands. “The state government had failed to provide safety to the people in the state. Gangsters have entrenched themselves deep into the political system. The Shiromani Akai Dal fielded a candidate closely related to a gangster in the Tarn Taran Assembly by-election,” alleged Warring.

The Congress MP also alleged that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was being provided protection by the Gujarat Government. “There are special orders of the Gujarat Government providing immunity to Bishnoi from being taken by the police of other states where he is involved in serious crimes,” alleged Warring.
