SAD Taksali chief Ranjeet Singh Brahmapura today claimed the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) had become a den of corruption after being hijacked by the Badal family.

After chairing a meeting of state-level leaders of the party, he said once the farmers’ agitation emerged victorious, they would prepare for the SGPC elections and make sure it was freed from the clutches of the Badal family. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
