SGPC makes relief work details public on website

Addressing mediapersons during the launch of a web portal here on Monday, SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami released details of relief works being carried out in flood-affected areas and the financial assistance being sent by the sangat on the SGPC’s official website.
Dhami said the SGPC allocated Rs 20 crore for flood relief work, the sangat is also extending immense support. As of September 19, 2025, details of contributions made by SGPC members, staff and Sangat have been uploaded to the website. To date, more than about Rs 6.09 crore has been received by the SGPC and over Rs 91.04 lakh spent through various gurdwaras on relief works and over Rs 23.25 lakh on medical services. Additionally, essential goods and supplies contributed by the sangat are also being delivered to the flood affected people.
The SGPC has so far supplied 22,000 litres of diesel to sangat working on strengthening embankments damaged by the floods — 6,000 litres for Khemkaran; 5,000 litres for Dera Baba Nanak, and 11,000 litres for Sultanpur Lodhi. He announced that in the coming days, an additional 8,000 litres of diesel will be given to the Sultanpur Lodhi area.
