Five days after gangster-turned-activist Lakha Sidhana addressed a rally at Mehraj village in Bathinda, Samyukt Kisan Morcha leader Ruldu Singh Mansa, who heads the Punjab Kisan Union, today said Sidhana should become a morcha member.

At a rally in Gidderbaha, he said: “In my personal opinion, if a large number of youngsters are Sidhana’s followers, he should become part of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha as an organisation. But then he will have to follow the decisions of the morcha.” — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
