Simranjit Singh Mann (77), newly elected Lok Sabha MP from Sangrur, who was admitted to Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, after testing positive for Covid, was discharged on Thursday morning.

Doctors have advised him home isolation for the next few days. Doctors attending to him said the MP was stable and asymptomatic for the past 48 hours.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
