The Punjab Government on Wednesday issued transfer orders for six IAS and one PCS officers. Jitendra Jorwal and Girish Dayalan, who were without posting, have been posted as Taxation Commissioner and Additional Commissioner (Excise), and Director General (School Education), respectively.

While Jorwal was without posting for almost a month, Dayalan was transferred last week and was not given any posting immediately.

Other than these two officers, Rajiv Prashar has been given the charge of the Secretary, Punjab State Human Rights Commission; Vinay Bublani is the Commissioner (Patiala division); Mohinder Pal becomes the Secretary (Industries and Commerce); while GPS Sahota is the Executive Director of the Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation.
