The Punjab Government on Wednesday transferred twenty-two police officials ahead of the imposition of the model code of conduct for the local bodies’ elections.

ADGP SPS Parmar, who headed a Special Investigation Team that probed the sacrilege incidents in Punjab, has been posted as the ADGP Law and Order, while IG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has again been posted as Commissioner of Police (CP), Amritsar.

Bhullar was shifted to the state police headquarters after the Lok Sabha election in June this year. Dhanpreet Kaur is IG-Ludhiana Range.

Mandeep Singh Sidhu, who remained CP-Ludhiana and SSP Sangrur has been posted as DIG Patiala Range; Ranjit Singh Dhillon is DIG Ferozepur Range while Harcharan Singh Bhulla is DIG Bathinda.
