The marriage is scheduled to be solemnised on October 3 in Amritsar. Komal is marrying a businessman from Ludhiana. Abhishek had been on the roll in recently concluded T20 Asia Cup, bagging the title of the Player of the Tournament.

Abhishek was spotted arriving at the venue with former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. The cricketer was seen surrounded by fans, seeking autographs and posing for selfies.

Raj Kumar Sharma, Abhishek’s father and coach, said he initially wanted Abhishek to become a spinner. He eventually discovered his true potential as a batsman. “This change in focus resulted in working out well for Abhishek, given his current success as an opening batsman in T20 cricket. His ability to adapt and find his strengths has contributed to his achievements. It’s great to see how Abhishek has been able to excel in his chosen role,” added Sharma.
