Punjab bagged the second position in the folk song and third in folk dance competition at the National Youth Festival organised by the Government of India.

The 27th National Youth Festival was organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the city of Nashik in Maharashtra.

From the state, 100 youth participated in various competitions.

Taranpreet Singh bagged the second position in the folk song competition and the bhangra team came third in the group folk dance competition.

Congratulating the winners, Sports and Youth Services Minister Meet Hayer appreciated the performance of the players and said they had brought laurels to the state.
