The police have increased presence of personnel at religious places and asked their managements to explore installing sensor lights and alarms besides CCTV cameras. “Any incident of sacrilege provokes strong emotions. We have appealed to managements of shrines to hand over the suspects to the police. Many mystery cases have been solved only because the accused was caught alive,” said an officer. — TNS
