Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal has put off his scheduled visits to mandis in Mohali, Ropar and Nawanshahar due to the ongoing lockdown in Punjab.

A party spokesperson said deputy commissioners of all three districts had requested Sukhbir to postpone his visit to ‘mandis’ keeping in view the weekend lockdown imposed in the state. Badal would visit the mandis when the situation improves, the spokesperson said. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
