In a tragic incident, a man and his sister-in-law died while the latter’s two children suffered serious injuries after a speeding SUV rammed into their motorcycle near Rampur Rangmahal village on Saturday.

Sub-Inspector Dalip Chaudhary said the deceased had been identified as Raju and Rajni, residents of Chak RD 236 village. The injured have been identified Karan, 5, and Arjun, 2.

The police said the family was heading towards Chak RD 236 village from Saravansar village on their motorcycle.

As soon as their bike entered the highway, a speeding SUV coming from Peelibanga rammed into them. The collision was so strong that Rajni and Raju died on the spot.

Arjun has been referred to Sriganganagar, Karan was undergoing treatment in Suratgarh.

The bodies of the deceased were handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination.
