A bus was targeted by a group of youths wielding swords and axes here last night, resulting in injuries to its driver, conductor and the passengers who tried to save them. The police said the incident took place near Adda Baddla.

After the incident, the Dasuya police reached the spot and sent bus driver Balwinder Singh and its conductor to a nearby government hospital.

According to information, the bus, run by a private company, had been going towards Talwara.

The driver said when he stopped the bus at the Adda Baddla turn to drop passengers, the youths, who had been standing with motorcycles parked there, entered the bus.

Some of them tried to break windshields with swords and axes.

DSP Balwinder Singh Jaura said a case was yet to be registered as no statement had been given till now by the driver or the conductor.
