Chandigarh: The Agriculture Department has withdrawn the order appointing ‘tainted’ official on the flying squad to check fake pesticides. The order comes following The Tribune report ‘‘Tainted’ official part of flying squad set up to check sale of spurious seeds’ appeared on July 23.

As per the fresh order by Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) Sarvjit Singh, the three-member panel has been dissolved.

The government is yet to constitute a fresh panel.
