BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said here today Punjab had become one of the worst-run states in the country as the law and order had collapsed and people were seized with terror and fear.
Chugh said CM Capt Amarinder Singh’s statement that the Modi government at the Centre and the Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana should resign because they could not look after the protesting farmers loudly demonstrated the fact the entire campaign had been not only led by, but also incited by the Congress government in Punjab.
He said it was in fact Capt Amarinder Singh who had lost the moral right to govern the state after his dismal failure as a Chief Minister to improve the economy or the law and order.
He said industrialists, traders, government employees, all had suffered during Capt Amarinder Singh’s tenure and it was time that the Congress removed him from the CM’s post. — TNS
